I got a GOPRO 3 silver ed.

I decided quite extempore to go and buy myself the GoPro 3 Silver Edition action video camera. Why? Because I had always wanted to start V-login!
So I will be making Vlogs in Japan but I'm yet unsure as to how quick I can post them to Youtube so that's why primarily be making just regular blog articles.

Feel free to comment, share and order my blog if interested!

FedEx brought me my goodies!

So I got a delivery last Friday and guess what it was? Oh nothing just THE JR PASSES I had ordered a short while a go. I was stunned 3 days had passed and they were here allready! Great jobb  Jrpass.com !
If you don't know what a JR-Pass is, or don't remember (I have made a post about earlier in my blog), the JR-pass or Japanese Railway Pass is an economic and superb train ticket that allows you to travell on all the trains and railways operated by the Japanese Railway (JR).
JR has an railwaysystem that streaches throughout the country, it even operates a ferry to Miyajima near Hiroshima, and many busses allso. These all are covered by the JR-pass.
Now the JR-Pass comes in three different validation periods or three different types. There are the 7 day pass, 14 day and 21 day pass. One person can buy more than 1 pass for him or herself if he wants too and can duss distribute the usage of the Jr pass as he/she wants.

I chose to buy two 21 day passes for myself and I will be using the passes with some time between them, so I won't be using up my 42 days of unlimited travel consecutively but rather in two periods. This is because I am going to stay in Tokyo and Kyoto for a longer period of time and since I won't really need to use the JR-pass there I decided this was the best way to allso cut costs on my travel. The JR pass is exchanged in Japan and before that you have to buy the voucher outside of Japan! The picture on the left here is the voucher, the real pass will be exchanged later.

If you could travel around Japan unlimitedly for a period of eighter 7, 14 or 21 days, where would you go?
Think of the possibilities! Unendless discovery.

A

Two months "alone" is going to be tough. Eventhough I am looking forward to this I'm still wondering what it will be like to be traveling for such a long time. It worries me a little. But I think this picture has a point.
I'm just going to run with this plan and take everything as it comes and deal with it then!

Tracing my trip

As days count down I have started to make my preparations also.
I've contacted quite a few people already in the Couch Surfing Community to see if I could get someone to host me while I'm there.
Meanwhile here you are, * A map over my trip *

Soon of to Japan and I got answered on YouTube :)

Hi again, been such an awfully long time since I've posted anything here.
I've been busy lately with work, workouts, and hanging out with friends that it just became that way.

Well, it's THE time of the year soon. What time ?  Travel time offcourse !
And I'm to be headed to Japan again. But how can I make it more interesting this time around?
I'm going off the basic tourist routine and suggested itineraries and just going zic-zac around the whole of Japan. I'll be checking up some of the local and nationwide summer festivals of Japan and as a personal treat, I'll be going to an Asian kung-fu generaiton gig in Tokyo.
I'm looking forward to get to brush up my Japanese again after such a long time.

Oh, and on a personal note, I just got one of the best gifts ever. Victor, Givemeaflakeman from YouTube answered to my mail and even did as much as complimented me on my "proper" etiquette when approaching a person.

If you are not familiar with him, and you really like to get a bit deeper look into the everyday life in Japan, then check out his channel and subscribe!

Ps.
I'm planing on making V-loggs in the near future and will be using the username TravelesPOV on YouTube.
